Benefits

Pay and Allowances

Job Corps pays each student a living allowance twice a month while in the program. But just like a real job, taxes are deducted from this allowance.

Housing

Our center can house 168 male students and 56 female students in four dormitories (three for males and one for females). Each dormitory has bathroom and shower facilities, laundry facilities, TV rooms, lounges, and vending machines.

Transitional Living

Our center also has three Transitional Living houses (two for males and one for females). Each house has three bedrooms with two students per room. Eligible students have the opportunity to experience "apartment living" while still on center in the Transitional Living houses. Students learn to budget money, maintain a household, cook, compromise with roommates, and pay bills. To qualify for Transitional Living, students will need to complete an application form and attend an interview as part of the selection process.

Meals

Our students are provided three nutritious meals each day at no cost in one of the best cafeteria facilities in Job Corps.

Wellness Center

The wellness center is open daily for basic medical, dental, and optometrist services which are provided free to our students. The wellness center also provides 24-hour emergency medical services. Weight management, smoking cessation, pregnancy prevention, and other health-related programs are also available.
